Scientific calculators will be allowed at the Matura exam in Serbia, as they have been used in Slovenia, Croatia, and many countries around the world for years.

* Students who have had mathematics classes for at least 2 years can choose a subject from the list of subjects (which also includes mathematics).

International Day of Mathematics

Did you know that, to celebrate the beauty and importance of mathematics and its essential role in everyday life, UNESCO proclaimed March 14th as “The International Day of Mathematics”?

March 14 is already known in many countries as Pi Day, named after the important number π , the ratio between the circumference and diameter of a circle and approximately equal to 3.14. The International Day of Mathematics celebration expands Pi Day to include the whole spectrum of mathematics.

Every year a new theme will be announced to flavor the spark imagination and creativity and bring light to connections between mathematics and all sorts of fields, concepts and ideas.

The theme for 2020 is Mathematics is Everywhere.
